Wising Up!

Hello dearies!

I know, it's been awhile since I updated this site. Laziness can't be blamed on this but let's say the issue of realigning and clarifying the priorities in my life causes the delay of the updates- mind management, my personal relationship with God, family, friends, career, online tasks, 7 blogs and ME time!

Our vacation to Philippines taught me to be wise on my priorities. I'd spend more time with my family . I get to know what my brothers and sisters want to be in the future. One is taking up Mining Engineering. The other one fancies IT. I could have advised him to take online it degree if only internet is accessible at home.Someone wants to be a tourist guide, one loves accountancy and the younger ones desire to be teachers like their "Ate" which is me. That swells my heart..he..he...Moreover, I came to realize that petty things steal too much of my time. I had the chance to re-route my life with God's guidance and started living for the right reasons.

A new school year just open so it means I gonna spend my 40 hours in school again. I circle today's date on my calendar and declare that the best days of my life are beginning - right now!

Happy Monday everyone! Oh by the way, I didn't expect today that I'll win $10 from Travel Diva's Top Commenter's Contest. Check it out at http://www.thetraveldiva.info! Thank you, Ate Janet and thank you Lord. I'm one happy woman...he..he...

my thought for the day

Why do I feel so tired when I only have 1 class today instead of my regular 5 classes? Is it because I have to wait for the last period (2:40-3:30 pm) to conduct my class or is it because I'm wrestling emotionally on why Chinese teachers are allowed to take a whole day break while we English teachers are forced to sit on our butt the whole day just to wait for the preschoolers' test to finish and take over the madhouse to conduct a class? Why can't I just go home and blog...LOL!

in need of His healing touch...

I don't usually get sick easily. I got a fever once a year as far as I can remember in my 28 years on earth but recently I noticed that I got sick every other month! It starts with a sneeze, then soreness in my throat, runny nose , headache, body ache and slight fever. When you got to look at the symptom, it shows Swine Flu Symptoms! Although the name 'swine flu' brings up a lot of extra fear and worry, it is important to note that swine flu is just an influenza A H1N1 virus.

That means that it is just another type of flu virus, just like that causes our typical seasonal flu symptoms. The big difference is that the current swine influenza A (H1N1) virus is new and most of us don't have any immunity to it. That is why it so easily became a pandemic virus (with the ability to cause a global outbreak), because it could easily spread from person to person.

Our child got a fever last week (a week after I experienced the symptoms I mentioned). We went immediately to his pediatrician who do a rapid flu test to see if he has an influenza A infection. Thanks Gods, he's fine and he just need to take antibiotics for his common cold.

Last Friday, I came home extremely weak. I had muscle pain and leg numbness (only my right leg). I slept as early as 6:00 pm. Then my numbness is preceded by abnormal pain-like sensations and I felt like it crept to my right face! I felt like I have toothache but I don't have teeth cavities and I couldn't pinpoint the exact location of the aching teeth!

I don't like to entertain sickness! I don't accept that I'm sick so I just carry on with my household chores and even celebrated Father's day at Ma Maison and at church. But this afternoon, I couldn't take the pain anymore that I asked my hubby to buy medicated plaster for me for my muscle pain and pain reliever for my toothache. After I took the medicine, I felt alright.

Please pray for my health. I hope I'll be fine by God's healing touch.

I'm absent today!

I didn't expect that I couldn't go to school today. After what happened to Hyzyd, I didn't have much sleep which left me dizzy, having bad headache, I felt like having motion sickness and my tummy is growling and always demands attention that I went to the toilet several times today. It left me no choice but to call our English Coordinator to break out my plight-I can't make it to school today, I'm sick! It's also hard to leave my baby when he's not feeling well, too! How I wish I could be a WAHM or a SAHM in times like this....

With all the things that happened today, I'm grateful to God that He touched and healed both of us . After I slept about two hours this morning with the baby (I didn't send him to grandma who babysits him coz I wanna take care of him by myself), I felt alive, alert, awake and enthusiastic again as well as my lil social butterfly-Hyzyd.

They said: We're fine and you?

...Oh, I'm not feeling well...I have headache..I need to sleep early..Thanks be to God that my baby is now fine. No more stuffy nose but you'll hear him coughing sometimes. My hubby is not feeling well. He got cold too last Sunday and he's not able to go to school this morning.

Please pray that I'll not get the cold though it's prevalent here. It's really hard if I'll be the one who'll get sick. "Bawal magkasakit!"....

See you around...

So much to tell, so limited time...

I'm juggling my time nowadays. I have so much to tell you about my first week in class but I have limited time typing it all so I just draft it first. I gotta rest now for I gonna have class from 8:20-11:10, resume at 1:40-3:30 pm having 5 classes per day at 50 minutes per session. I need your support in prayers. I need God's wisdom on how to teach English to 3 years old learners who haven't heard English yet in their entire life! You may not believe me, but it's true! Hu...hu..hu...I had my first class for 3 years old this afternoon for a "try-out" and they're looking at me like saying "who's this fool mumbling "something" we don't understand!"...Waaaaahhhh...I'm like teaching statues...mutes and deafs...I'm like a gong in the middle of the desert...Waaaahhhh....Oh, help me God! When, I say goodbye to them, it's just the time I heard them respond in unison..Bye-bye!..Maybe, they really wanted me to get out from their sight!..Waaaaahhhh....

On the other hand, my 4-year-old learners are quite good and they really makes me feel like a real hero, a real teacher. They're cooperative and responsive. I can't go out from the room without hugs and kisses from them...so cute..This is the reason why I should be fresh tomorrow!

I have to claim Philippians 4:13 "I am able to do all things through him who gives me strength."

Thanks for the visits and inspiring messages and comments. I'll visit you later. Stay tuned (he..he..he..) for I have so much to tell you!

How's my day?

Just get back from school and I have a mild headache...maybe because I'm taking a nap for 30 minutes and it's not enough for me...LOL!

I felt great today because I'm able to finish my flashcards for my topics Greetings, Classroom Commands and Identification of people. Have I told you that this semester I'll be teaching 25 hours per week? Yeah...though I'll just meet each class once a week but the enrollment increases this year so I have to cater 13 sections (with 40 students each section) of Kinder 1 and 12 sections of Kinder 2. I think it will not be too hard for me because they're going to give a Thai assistant teacher for me to translate and take responsibility of the order in the class.

My baby is still with her nanny sleeping so I sneak her to check my email and my blog. I'm waiting for my hubby to come home coz we'll be going to market. This morning, as he's ready going to school, we found out that the tire is flat. Unfortunately, our neighbor who has a vulcanizing shop wasn't around. Good thing that my co-teacher who's also our neighbor told me he'll be absent because of toothache, he offered his motorbike to my hubby so off he went to school...Hope he's not late.....

Back to Zero

Yeah...my PR is back to zero, the aftermath of buying a new domain. I don't know that there's a lot to be affected-PR, links, Alexa ranking, and account in "get paid to blog" companies (I sent tickets to support center to inform them of my new URL) ...he..he..a nice lesson for a newbie like me. So, if you plan to buy a domain for your blog, just be ready of the result, it's like starting all over again. Am I feeling downhearted? dispirited? Nope, he..he..I can say that it's not a problem. In the first place, I'm blogging without knowledge of PR and other blogging terms...I'm blogging because I love to see my journal online, meet friends, update my family of our happenings and express myself without the feeling of being criticized and ridiculed.

Anyway, with PR or without, I will still be here. I thank my friends who continued on visiting my site, giving comments, leaving messages in my cbox, tagging me and giving me awards. I love awards! I like this Friendship Award from Jes of My Little Angel and Miriam of Mom Writes for a Cause. Thank you for this , friends. It means you considered me as your friend plus you'd think that I'm one of the best bloggers..he..he..sorry for my own interpretation because I see the printed message " The Best Blogger". Here's the award:

Rules:
1. Take your award here.
2. Put the logo on your post.
3. Link the person who awarded you.
4. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
5. Add links to those blogs on yours.
6. Leave a message for your nominees on their blog.

I wonder if the following new friends would love to receive this award:
  1. Anissa
  2. Grace
  3. Beth
  4. Laine
  5. Mommy Elvz
  6. Rosemarie
  7. Laureen

Of jeans and birthday...

I'm so ecstatic today!!!!You know why? After months of waiting (to lose weight...*grin*), trying and "fitting", at last, I'm able to wear one of my favorite jeans! One thing is for sure...I'll be able to wear my other jeans stacked in the wardrobe. The truth can't be denied...I'm truly losing weight. ..*chuckling*...

I'm also into rapturous delight today for my baby is celebrating his 5-month old birthday. God is so good to us. Time flies so fast....maybe time will come before I realize, our baby is already a grown-up man! Can't wait to be there for him.

Do you know the answer?

When I was still in elementary, I was asked by my uncle on how will say "Pang-ilan na Pangulo ng Pilipinas si Ramon Magsaysay?" in English. I was led into deep thinking....deep searching...I'm in quest for the right answer....until now, after almost twenty years, I haven't found the answer yet....

Do you know the answer? I would be very grateful if you could share to me your wise ideas . Thank you....:)
