in need of His healing touch...

I don't usually get sick easily. I got a fever once a year as far as I can remember in my 28 years on earth but recently I noticed that I got sick every other month! It starts with a sneeze, then soreness in my throat, runny nose , headache, body ache and slight fever. When you got to look at the symptom, it shows Swine Flu Symptoms! Although the name 'swine flu' brings up a lot of extra fear and worry, it is important to note that swine flu is just an influenza A H1N1 virus.

That means that it is just another type of flu virus, just like that causes our typical seasonal flu symptoms. The big difference is that the current swine influenza A (H1N1) virus is new and most of us don't have any immunity to it. That is why it so easily became a pandemic virus (with the ability to cause a global outbreak), because it could easily spread from person to person.

Our child got a fever last week (a week after I experienced the symptoms I mentioned). We went immediately to his pediatrician who do a rapid flu test to see if he has an influenza A infection. Thanks Gods, he's fine and he just need to take antibiotics for his common cold.

Last Friday, I came home extremely weak. I had muscle pain and leg numbness (only my right leg). I slept as early as 6:00 pm. Then my numbness is preceded by abnormal pain-like sensations and I felt like it crept to my right face! I felt like I have toothache but I don't have teeth cavities and I couldn't pinpoint the exact location of the aching teeth!

I don't like to entertain sickness! I don't accept that I'm sick so I just carry on with my household chores and even celebrated Father's day at Ma Maison and at church. But this afternoon, I couldn't take the pain anymore that I asked my hubby to buy medicated plaster for me for my muscle pain and pain reliever for my toothache. After I took the medicine, I felt alright.

Please pray for my health. I hope I'll be fine by God's healing touch.
