It's Christmas time already and blogosphere is celebrating this jolly season with lots and lots of giveaways! One of them is the Tiecoon's Neckties giveaway hosted by Kero's Celebration.
Why do I get interested with neckties? My partner is a government high school ESL teacher and they're required to wear long sleeves with neckties. Since two years ago, ties became my hubby's staple accessories. He's already accustomed to wearing neckties everyday and it seems that his suit would not be perfect without neckties. The two patterned ties would be excellent to adorn my hubby's white shirts. Why golden/yellow and pink shades? These colors has significant meaning. Yellow is HM King Bhumibol's favorite color. On the King’s birthday (last December 5) most people will try and wear yellow during the day and of course, they will have the yellow flag flying wherever they can.
Pink became popular when the king left hospital about two years ago after his illness, looking frail in a bright pink blazer. Within hours, pink shirts were on sale across the country and were being worn in their thousands to show solidarity and to help the king's recovery. Wearing pink, the Thais said, would bring the king good fortune and good health, a sentiment that still seems to rule as there are still days when the streets are a sea of pink.
