Practical Housekeeping Tips

I hope that these practical tips may help you make your housekeeping responsibilities cool, easy and inexpensive as it helps me.

  • Sour sponge. Soak sponge in lemon juice for some time or until you’re satisfied with the smell. Rinse.

  • Non-greasy dishes. Adding a tablespoon of baking soda to your soapy water will not only help in washing dishes; it will also soften your hands.

  • Oil stains. Rub oil-spotted area with a piece of lime dipped in salt for a non-greasy look.

  • Sweet corn. When boiling corn on the cob, add a pinch of sugar to help bring out the corn’s natural sweetness.

  • Egg freshness. To determine whether an egg is fresh, immerse it in a pan of cool, salted water. It sinks, it is fresh. If it rises, it is time to throw it away.
