My simple way of showing my love to Mother Earth is by conserving energy - being vigilant on turning off unneeded lights or when leaving a room, using only as much light as we need, and unplugging appliances when not in use-remembering to turn off television and computer when we're not using them.
Turning off the water when we're not using it is also part of conserving energy.While brushing our teeth, shampooing our toddler or washing our dishes, we see to it that we turn off the water until we actually need it for rinsing. We reduced our water bill in this way and helps conserve a vital resource.
How does conserving energy save Mother Earth? Less energy use means less dependence on the fossil fuels that create greenhouse gases and contribute to global warming.
