Keep us safe, Oh God!

We'll be back in school next week and I'll be back riding on a motorbike with my hubby. I hope my hubby isn't sick and tired of my everyday reminders to him to drive slowly and safely especially now that it's rainy season. Driving a motorcycle in the rain can be very dangerous if the necessary precautions are not taken. I always told him that he should be aware of his surroundings, especially of other drivers around him (coz most young Thai drivers are reckless). I knew that he knew what's the best thing he should do more than me but I just can't help reminding him. About 64% of vehicular accidents in Thailand are caused by motorcycles since 2006. Some were badly hurt in a collision and some lost their loved ones as a result of another driver's negligence. I don't witness or even heard about the availability of personal injury lawyer here that works like the personal injury attorney Tucson , who provides hands-on legal help for accident victims and their families.

It's my daily prayer that God will always safeguard my family especially my hubby's travel to and fro hatyai and Songkhla. I ask God for that car we've been asking for to be delivered as early as possiblesengihnampakgigi.

What's up Gene?

Internet Update

Few days from now we'll definitely have our internet connection. We're already given the telephone number assigned to us last week and I paid the $200 baht fee for the transfer. That's what they termed "transfer fee" but they gave us $200 worth of prepaid card where I could use for domestic and international calling. Not bad, eh?

My previous account with TOT (Telephone Organization of Thailand ) was cancelled when we moved in our present location so we apply for a new account. It took more than 2 months before our telephone number became available. We are that willing to wait rather than to wait for 6 months in another telephone company. With an existing phone line, a high-speed internet service by ADSL technology (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) comes next. It has a maximum of 4 Mbps download speed and 512 Kbps maximum uploading speed in always-on connection and unlimited internet access for only 590 Baht per month.

Starry night with KBS

We already have cable TV at home (it's free connection from our landlady) and I'm glad that finally I could watch some English news-Fox News, Aljazeera, and Channel NewsAsia, English movies from Syfy and Universal Channel, documentaries from Granada TV, Australia Network and AFC, sports from Eurosports and entertainment from Channel V. They have cartoon networks but most of them were dubbed in Thai (the voices used are always the same tone, and just doesn't match the programs. They made Scooby Doo , Barney or Sesame Street launch fail:( ). They have handful educational show but they used the Thai language. Oh, my night will be more romantic again with the Korean love stories:).

Teachers need to be appreciated

I already finished my final examination for my K-2 learners except for three sections. I'm done with the grades, too. It's time to plan my lessons and draft my worksheets for our English camp that will commence on October 4 and ends on October 15. The K- 1 teacher told me this morning that most of her students enrolled because they love to have me again on English camp. Am I that good? Oh how I love my students. They really made my day so colorful today. It felt great to know that you're loved.

For teachers like me, appreciation means a lot to keep us going.

Quickie post: My week

For the first time in my life, I conducted my class smoothly without looking at my watch if my time is up alreadytepuktangan. Is it a good indication that I'm enjoying my teaching? It felt like 50 minutes is only 5-minutes for me. I like this kind of feeling and I hope it will continue for the rest of the school yearsenyumkenyit.

Still busy in herehah. I really appreciate your visits and comments guyz. I'll be back with you after we'll finally settle in a new place. I'll share the details to you laterbabai.

what's up with me?

I told you that I could have ample time to blog this month because it's vacation but the opposite seems to be happening now. It appears that I want to temporarily detach myself from the blogosphere to spend more time in reading the Bible, attend household chores, play with my baby, watch movies and most especially karaoke singing-Christian songs, love songs and nursery songs! I am not a good singer but I love to sing. I have (i think Smiley ) a good ear as can pick a tune up quickly by ear .

In the afternoon, my Thai friend comes in our house and together we'll do her thesis- she shared to me her ideas and I encoded what I've understood from her. I already gained ideas on how to start a thesis.

Hyzyd's playing time

After Hyzyd's nap in the afternoon, we head to Diana Mall to ride on his favorite car toy or visit the game arcade for his favorite car game machine where he could play with the steering wheel . If I have online opportunities, I usually do them at Our Adventures Together so don't be surprised if I posted in there 3-5 posts a day while I have nothing to say in here.

I'm also hoping that I would finally push through my plan of joining aerobics Smiley at Diana park every afternoon at 6:00 o'clock. I badly needed to shed off these extra pounds of mine.

If you need anything from me please don't hesitate to contact me or leave messages in my cbox or comment box. I'm checking my emails and cbox everyday.

Hope you have a happy day always like mesengihnampakgigi.

PS. My hubby has special classes today until the 24th of April so I'll be playing the part of a SAHM for awhile.
