This is how we celebrate our new year's party

If in Philippines, we would definitely celebrate Christmas Party in our workplace, it's the New year's party that they celebrated in here (Thailand) .

As usual, we celebrated our party in Daichii Hotel (Dec.30) . This time of the year, they chose the theme for the party "Rainbow" where each department was assigned a certain color of the dress that you're going to wear. I wonder if there's color "black" and "White" in rainbow?..he..he...By the way, Daichii Hotel is a very big hotel but I wonder why the school chose the smaller spot. We're crowded in one round table (about 11 persons) . Food is served while having the program-serving the food one dish at a time! Just imagine 11 persons eating 1 serve of dishes. It isn't enough for us! LOL! I tell you I went home famished...LOL!

Imagine only 1 dish for each dishes served for 11 persons, 4 of these are male.
Is it enough?

Let's forget about the food. Let's focus on the program. I think no one can beat how we Filipinos plan our program. In here, there's discoing "in-betweens" and so much talking . They're laughing here and there and I don't know what's going around coz I don't understand Thai language that much...ha..ha...ha...

disco time! (in the middle of the program)

I danced while covering my ears!!! What a deafening music!!!

What I'm nervous about is our presentation. The foreigner teachers (7 of us) decided to present song numbers for male- My Love by Westlife and You Raise me Up by Josh Groban. The three of us females will sing and dance "Dancing Queen". It's been 8 years already since my college days that I've been onstage. I had stage fright at that time but I was quite happy of the result. The manager was impressed of our participation coz it's the first time that their foreign teachers participated in an event such as that. It's customary in here that once you participated, you'll receive cash awards. Mind you, our talent fee is expensive...LOL!

the "Dancing Queens"

I joined a game which is new to me! Each contestant tied a small balloon to each ankle. Then to the accompaniment of the music, we ran around trying to stamp on our competitors' balloons while avoiding having mine burst. In this game, when your balloons are burst, you're out. Last one with an intact balloon is the winner. I'm one of the three contestants who has 1 balloon that remains intact. This enjoyable but very tiring game awarded me a photo frame...he..he...(not bad)
a photo before the game

Let the game begin!

The survivors! Can anyone beat my acrobatic stunt in here? LOL!

We went home almost midnight after distribution of gifts.

Look what I've got-a wooden hanger stand...LOL!

Happy New year 2010! Holiday's over and we'll go back to school on Monday. How I wish we still have 1 week holiday vacation..waaahhhhhh!
