Operation Pigeon Hunting!

On this particular day, my browsers most visited sites are those that talk about different methods to get rid of pigeons rather than the fat burners for women which top my list a week ago . I'm really pissed off these city dwellers pigeons nesting over our roof , messing all over and waking us up at midnight or at dawn!

I told the landlady about this and she told me that today they will send men to knock down the nests over our roof and eaves and to clean the poo they've dropped on our window frames and roof.

Hope they'll totally exterminate these smelly winged-creatures!

In the line of Doody...

...is the 52nd episode of The Penguins in Madagascar -an American CGI animated television series airing on Nickelodeon. I felt what Skipper ( the leader of the penguins; he devises tactics and gives orders. Calculating and nearly unflappable, Skipper's paranoia combined with his experience in covert ops has driven him to prepare for nearly any situation, no matter how bizarre or unlikely) felt- vowing not to let a pigeon attacked a commissioner with bird droppings!

You see , we live in the city and this new place we rented have lots of pigeon landing at our roof top which disturbs Hyzyd while he's taking his nap, nesting, and making a mess all around! The problem for city dwellers' pigeons is that it usually is not a small one. Pigeons live in flocks and they are not very afraid of people. They will nest on most any structure, leaving unsanitary bird droppings behind. Reports tell us that these city dwelling pigeons carry more pests and disease than rats!

Beastly smelly scary creatures with wings- pigeons!

Pooing in our porch. Pigeons are disrespectful!

Here are a few bird control methods I can try to rid our property of pigeons ASAP (credit to http://www.howtodothings.com for the tips):

  • Place mothballs around your balcony and in your eaves. Pigeons hate the smell and will not linger.
  • Knock down any pigeon nests you find.
  • Place "scare devices" out to scare pigeons. These can include plastic owls or snakes.
  • Block eaves, ledges and other places pigeons nest by placing wire over these areas. Pigeons are looking for a place to roost and nest. If they cannot gain access to these areas they will not hang around too long.
  • Another way to get rid of pigeons is to purchase liquids and gels that you can apply to your roof and balcony. These products are sticky and pigeons do not like to stand and walk on them.
  • Another alternative to keep pigeons away is to install bird spikes. These spikes are made of plastic and they deter pigeons from roosting over your building.
