Moving isn't easy for me. I missed a lot of things- good old neighbors, a quiet place, our internet and cable TV. I wonder now on what happens to my favorite Korean Drama "The Jolly Widows" at KBS World. Does anybody know out there?
I'm asking this morning my co-teacher on how much does it cost if we'll let Hatyai Cable install a line to our new apartment. She said it's just about 300 something baht per month with few English Channels like MM1, V Channel, Fox News, Australia Channel, Aljazeera, Channel News Asia and KBS World (with English subtitles). We're also wondering if subscribing to UBC would be good for us. (The main "cable" provider is a company called True, and their cable service is called "True Visions". It is often called "UBC" because that was the name of the previous company which True bought up (United Broadcasting Corporation). True Visions offers different sets of channels at different prices. (Your subscription is linked to the serial number of the decoder box they give you. You can upgrade at any time.) Their programs include lots of movie channels, cartoons, western sports (European soccer, some US basketball and football, other stuff), and educational channels like Discovery, National Geographic, Animal Planet, and The History Channel.

How I wish Direct TV is available here in Thailand (The whole thing about the earth being round and the satellites not being able to go around the curve). If it did, I can't imagine anyone would be paying for UBC . Why I suddenly think of Direct TV? As I've read from my fellow bloggers, they claimed that Directtv offers the following benefits and features:
It provide superior quality 100% Digital Programming.Check out what's in a Direct TV Packages- there are over 150 digital channels for only 29.99/month including your local channels (as I saw at http://www.directsattv.com/directv/) (remember that's over 150 100% DIGITAL QUALITY channels!) , sports, XM Radio and more! Good for those who are in US. How about us here in Thailand? When will Direct TV be available in Asia?

It has wider programming capability and Choices than cable TV.

It offer state-of-the-art High Definition Broadcasting.
