Poontoon Boat Cover

This is not a paid post. It's simply written to earn more points for the $300 Coach Bag Contest I've recently joined.

As I posted yesterday, we'll be going to Satun for rafting on Monday (July 26) . But because we have a toddler, it's not safe for me to join rafting with our little boy, it would be hubby who will enjoy the rafting . However, we'll have a great time swimming in the pool with other kids and will have a chance to ride on a poontoon boat. If that would be push through, it would be my first time to ride on a poontoon boat. I grew up riding on my grandfather's boat (he's a fisherman) but with a poontoon boat, it would be a different story.

pontoon boat

A pontoon is a flat-bottomed boat or the floats used to support a structure on water. It may be simply constructed from closed cylinders such as pipes or barrels or fabricated as boxes from metal or concrete. These may be used to support a simple platform, creating a raft. A raft supporting a house-like structure is one form of houseboat. The basic design is usually implemented as a simple catamaran or, with three rows of floats, a trimaran. A fixed platform can be used as a dock. They are popular with partygoers. They also offer the largest value in terms of capacity to price[citation needed]. As a result pontoons are typically purchased for pleasure boating rather than serious fishing .

By the way, if you happen to have your own poontoon boat, you need to invest on Poontoon Boat Cover. Your pontoon boat cover lengthens your boat's life, the cover reduces the need for repairs, your cover keeps the floors and upholstery in top condition, and the the cover keeps your boat safe during transit.

Thinking in the long term, there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't have a high-quality, durable pontoon boat cover. Not only will it keep your boat safe, but it will also save you money. Visit Poontoon Boat Cover .org, your partner in looking for the best Pontoon Boat Cover available in the market.

Earning Money Online with Fedhz

I started my blog out of boredom in school and if you checked my archives way back to December 2008, you'll see how amateur I am when it comes to blogging. I don't know what to say. Just don't check it coz it will just bore you to death. I remember I haven't really introduce myself properly in this blog. Just wait and you'll see one of these days that 'About Me" page.

When it comes to monetizing my blog, I'm not that serious . Though I'm not that serious, I tell you I already earned more or less $400 since May 2009. I was able to treat my love ones with pizza and Swensen's icecream and a shopping galore for my mom when she and my father with our youngest sister visited us last October 2009. Sometimes I wonder, how much would I earn if I really take the issue of monetizing my blogs seriously?

If you want to earn online , I could refer you to Marce Fedhz, the author behind How I Earn Money Online. This blog contains how she earns money online through her blogs and other paying sites. This also includes some tips and tricks she have learned along the way. She wanted us readers to know that she's not an expert in this area but she wanted to share her experiences on trying advertising and writing as her bread and butter.

Every end of the month she'll post her monthly earnings like the one below:

Are you interested to earn online like hers? Then don't hesitate to visit How I Earn Money Online. Fedhz will be happy to assist you.

She simply rocks!

Marose a.k.a redamethyst in the internet is the mom behind Simple Pero Rock- a personal blog of a working mom whose dreaming to be a work at home mom to be with his son 24/7. I could relate with that. We shared the same sentiments. She confessed that another reason in setting up this blog is to monetize this to help with the family finances even on its small way. Now that shows that this mom is strong, stable and dependable. She could be the rock of her family during crisis.

Her header shows a lady "rocker" (This image reminds me of the movie Freaky Friday). This mom maybe loves a blend of black rhythm-and-blues with white country-and-western or the the range of music styles that evolved out of rock'n'roll. Her favorite color is red. It's so obvious with the color of her layout's background. The use of the color grab my attention get me to take action- read her post. The font style of her posts is very attractive. Overall presentation of the site is neat and clean.

Though the author claims that she's not good in writing but I see the opposite. She has the ability to give an infinite amount of attention to detail and a commitment to clarity of thought and expression and a knowledge of the short story form of her Mommy Moments and Girls Talk's entries .

on meeting CrossRoads

Pilipinas Got Talent is the headline at CrossRoad and it's already on it's second audition in our island- Mindanao! it makes me excited to view the video clippings posted on there. I was amazed of the Cutie Kidz dance number from Osmena, Cagayan de Oro and so amused of the senior citizen's dance attempt of "I will survive" from Agdao, Davao City.

Who's the author that takes the effort to post the video clippings? I looked for his "About Me" page of the author from it's magazine-type blog layout and this is what I found:

He's creative in resenting about himself with his photo and then we'll know that his personal blog contains any topics that revolves around places, people, events, movies, entertainment, life and so much more! He's a proud member of the elite group, Cebu Bloggers Society for two years already. (So he's a Cebuano pala...magkasinabot diay ta ani dong Mark sa atong Bisaya...he..he...) .

I'm browsing the pages to see if he monetized his blog. Though some of his posts are sponsored, he still managed to strike the balance between getting personal, informative without being overly pushy with the sales bit. He has the knack of an effective writer.

Meet the author at CrossRoads...where yours and his ideas meet!

After dark encounter

What do you usually do after dark? My toddler and I usually take a warm bath together, Watch t.v., read bedtime stories , pick my suit and shoes for work the next morning, and um, make love. LOL! Blogging? I changed my schedule to 3-5 am already. How about you?

I know one blogger who writes and writes after dark. She's the one who says:

I'm not a good writer.

But I write from the heart.

Is that good enough?

You knew her before (thru my posts) as the Wonder Wifey and the author of Coffee, anyone? More will be revealed about the author here in Clarisse After Dark. She prefers this time to be just called "Claire". This woman never fails to introduce herself in every blog she has. This time though she's the same person behind Coffee, anyone?, she's a little more intoxicated, and less caffeinated. Maybe because she prefers that frizzy blue wine after dark than coffee (as shown on her blog's background) . What do you think?

I discovered in this blog her toilet paper painting made with coffee on watercolor paper. I forgot to mention before that she's a Psychologist/Teacher/Child Dev. Specialist. Professionally, these are everything she's NOT anymore but she's still all those in her heart. Her hubby includes painting, sketching and creating different things with her hands. More of her creations can be found at her online portfolio at Bistro de l'arte. Isn't she quite an artist? I really adore her!

Clarisse After Dark is written more personal. She shares her that they lost their baby three years ago. I'm so sorry to read about that. I'm touched when she left this question "When will we be able to surf and shop for baby stuff, and not just car stuff, and shoes and purses?". I hope they'll be at that time as soon as possible. There are many interesting posts awaiting for me over there.

Join Claire with her after dark endeavors at Clarisse After dark.

Chat over coffee with Clarisse

Have you read my post about the Wonder Wifey? Her horizon is expanded in her another blog, Coffee, anyone? . I got this feeling that this wonderful wife loves to chat over coffee. I do love to chat over coffee preferably one on one and encourage and care for each other, love each other, pray for one another and build each other up.

According tho the author, Clarisse, this blog is about her realm. It's not work. It's not home. It's that comforting space between, where she gathers her thoughts; and connect with fellow beings who treat each moment as a gift, and are grateful for life. You could meet her here in Coffee, anyone? for coffee, hot chocolate, a piƱa colada or a glass of wine. What a nice invitation. I love to!

The first thing I noticed when I visit this blog is the plainness of the design with that light brown color (like the color of a coffee with lots of cream). Your eyes will surely be focused to the real meat of the site- her inspirational personal posts. It's my first time to visit a blog in another platform-not in blogger nor in wordpress platform but in bravejournal. Some of her posts in Wonder Wifey like the Go-Bag and the most dangerous cakes were reposted in this blog.

I love the way the author introduces herself in her profile. She talks about her educational background, her personality, the reasons why she's in US and her previews in life. She doesn't fear going beyond her comfort zones and embracing changes because she believes that life should be meaningful and we only got one to live! Her writing is not too difficult (or too simplistic) for me. I found that she limits the use of jargon and give her readers all the background information that they will need to understand her posts. Let's join her at Coffee, anyone? for more fun- a chat over coffee.

Wonder Wifey

It's only on rare occassions when I visited blogs that I feel the warmth of welcome. One of the blogs that I felt welcome is at Wonder Wifey. Maybe because of the layout's cozy ambiance with that coffee image on the header. It's like visiting her blog is visiting a friend that is ready to offer you a cup of coffee while having chitchat. Another thing is the text on the sidebar welcoming and thanking every visitors that drop by. It's like visiting Jollibee where employees welcome you every time you enter the food chain and thank you for visiting once you go out.

I couldn't help but notice the author's "decluttering skill". If her layout is compared to a house , you'll find it immaculately clean and spotless. On her sidebar, she organized her main sites and other sites. She's quite a prolific writer! She maintained around 10 blogs from different platforms. The author didn't forget to introduce herself to the newcomers. Her image can be found on the sidebar and when you click it, you will be led to her other site that describes more about her. I was even led to her friendster blog and I wonder if she's a teacher too like me because of her URL http://teacher-c.blog.friendster.com/- teacher c for teacher Clarisse, isn't it? It reminds me of my first ever blog created in friendster too way back year 2006.

Her latest posts make me glued infront of the computer because it's my first time to really consider preparing a GO-BAG for emergencies like fire or typhoon. I have to bookmark this first because it's quite a lengthy post. Another post that catches my attention is about the most dangerous cake: 5 minute chocolate mug cake! Why the most dangerous? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

I noticed too that she included a "Buy at Amazon" widget after her posts. Maybe she's an Amazon Associate. I don't know yet. It's very handy for readers to purchase the items she's blogging about when they're interested like baby stuffs and Dyson soft dusting brush just to mention a few.

What more could I say? She's a wonder wifey indeed! I will recommend Wonder Wifey for wives out there looking for tips on home improvement, easy-to-prepare menus , where to find baby stuffs and more!

Between the pages of Ms.Glitter

I love the pink layout of Glitter Page the first time I visit this blog. The header makes me want to own a bunny for a pet right at that moment. The bunny looks so cuddly...so I perceived that the author may like pets...yes she does but she prefers dogs for a pet. You'll not get bored of the feminine-look of the template , no distractions of the widgets or other page elements on the sidebar for they're all properly arranged and the font she used projects confidence.

I wanna meet the author so I click on the "About" page and I found what I'm looking for- the author with her ID! It's so creative of her. I rarely met authors who introduce themselves with a photo . She's a pretty registered nurse, isn't she? She even shared a trivia of why her domain is http://glitter.xaeron.net . Glitter is her online name since 2006 and xaeron is the online name of ron, her boyfriend. Actually if she had a choice it is suppose to be http://glitter♥xaeron.net . What do you think?

I wish the author has a separate page for her archive. I haven't found any so I just content myself on browsing her past entries through CATEGORIES. I noticed that her personal blog caters blogging contests , entertainment, girls talk , health and lifestyle, nurse's notes and even techie stuffs. I'm blessed with her post about a reminder from God , where she spend time talking to God in a very honest way. She also writes some of her posts in her own vernacular which is Filipino and I love reading them. It's relatable and she got her own personal style. She has a knack of a storyteller.

There's much more to discover from this young lady who loves pink , a registered nurse, a self-confessed shopaholic and a Christian. Visit Glitter Page now!

Pen, Paper, Pan

Pen, Paper, Pan is a unique and catchy blog title for me. The author Yami used to work in a newspaper. In other words, she's a writer, thus, Pen, Paper and now that she's a stay-at-home mom for Naomi and Khalil, she used Pan to represent her being a SAHM that cooks. It's a brilliant idea, Marce Yami!

She just started blogging a year ago when her husband persuaded her to put up a website for her new clippings particularly stories about people living with HIV/AIDS. Her main website Mom writes for a cause was born out from that concept followed by Yam’s Files . Later on, as she learned her ways in blogging , meeting new friends and being introduced to joining sites that pays her to blog she decided to make another domain in wordpress platform to house anything about her experiences as a wife , a mommy, and anything that merits the authors attention. Thus, our stay-at-home mom just turns herself to a full time work-at-home mom.

The layout is fine with me with it's yellow background. It's presentable and no clutters of widget around. It's a 2-column layout , by the way. The header is appropriate to her blog title showing a lady in her kitchen with a pen and paper and a ...pot...instead of a pan. It's not a problem anyway coz the totality of the layout's presentation is excellent! She gave credit to Marce Pehpot for designing the header while Marce Kaye coded it.I just wish the author added archives on her sidebar for easy navigation of past entries.

As a writer herself, she knows what to write that responds to the interests and needs of our readers like her post about the benefit of using organic products and breaking the AIDS barrier just to mention a few. Visit her site for more informative issues.

Super Gulaman : an outlet of a funny teacher

Teachers come in different types. There are friendly teachers, funny, lenient, strict, and ideal. I could say I'm a combination of a friendly and ideal teacher. A friendly teacher, as the very term suggests, acts like a friend for his/her students. A teacher-friend, in fact, combines both the guidance of a teacher and the understanding of a friend. We all, at some point of time, aspire for an understanding teacher. Such a teacher acts like our friend, philosopher and guide. An ideal teacher is the one we respect from our heart. He/she acts as a guide to the students, while not pushing them too much. Such a perfect motivates them and boosts their morale. He/she tries to encourage the students and refrains from criticizing them.

A funny teacher is like a God-sent to the students. Such a teacher always wants to see his/her students smile ands make learning a pleasurable experience. They are not clumsy, as most people think them to be. Rather, they are witty and bring in humor in the most subtle form even on blogs like the author of Super Gulaman.

Why do I perceived that he's a teacher? As I read on the history of Super Gulaman- a humorous blog in Filipino dialect, it's his Filipino-Chinese student who gave him the idea of using Super Gulaman as a fictional superhero like batman, superman, spiderman who help spread laughter in a gloomy world.

His blog features stories of the author's expedition of life where readers will join him in laughter until teardrops fall...LOL! Stories can be found on the author's sidebar so you'll just choose titles that fancies you. It's another blog that will brighten my day when I'm bored.

Cotton Candy Buzz

It's a nice thing to meet other ESL teachers sharing about themselves through blogging. Cotton Candy Buzz is one of them. The author Riza is an ESL teacher and a computer teacher at the same time . We shared the same belief that being a teacher is a noble and worthy endeavor. Her first love is teaching English and writing too, I presumed.

Cotton Candy Buzz was brainchild out from the concept that there are sweet and colorful things in life that are beneficial and there's a need for it to be shared. The author shared her personal experiences in this blog and it is open too for product reviews due to her interest in wrting meningful entries. You would know more about her site through the "About the Site" page. She clearly lays out to new readers what would they expect from this blog. I appreciate her for doing that. It's necessary to have such page to orient visitors and new readers to give them background of what the blog is all about instead of just wandering around.

There's no question about her pink layout. I find it so feminine, neat, presentable and page elements are in order. There's no distraction when you're reading her posts. Navigation of the site is just a snap.

The author has a knack of an effective writer. She writes in simple, direct and smooth-flowing language as if she's really conversing in front of me while reading her posts. She writes simply but concise. Sentences have no unnecessary words and no unnecessary sentences on paragraphs. It's a blog with quality.

Living Life to the Fullest

Have you live your life to the fullest? By God's grace I do.

How?

I try not to worry . Why worry if I could pray. In prayer, we could move the hand of God to do the things which we can't do.

I loved much. I read once that "If you haven’t love, you haven’t truly lived". To truly live life to the fullest is to dive yourself into the ocean of love. Love is the very essense of true living life. Open up yourself to love, to compassion, to the depths your heart. The world teaches you to withdraw from love, to be “protected”, impersonal, and dead objective, but God is calling you to go love and experience life

I never take anything for granted. I savor every bite of a meal, enjoy what I have, I laugh often, I try to be thankful always instead of complaining and tried actively to stay in peace.
How about you? How do you live life to the fullest?

While bloghopping, I came across Living Life to the Fullest, a personal blog of Levy who blogs about tips, articles and facts about ALMOST everything in this journey called life. She gave up her career to take care of her 2 sons . I salute moms who gave up careers for their family. Her blog's template exudes life with it's green background. It's presentable and looks so lively. I noticed that after every post, she left an encouraging message "what ever happens in life we should always remember to live life to the fullest". This mom really knows to live life to the fullest. She records her accomplishments as well as her delights like her winnings- Real Life Paparazzi Photo Contest and the $500 she won from Yousaytoo awards. Her personal posts like her new year resolution for 2010 is an inspiration to others.

Visit Living Life to the Fullest and join her towards her quest to live life to the fullest.

Stalking Mind: Random Thoughts of a Struggling Listener

The following is a blog review for Kaye and Pehpot's Blogversary Contest. This is not a sponsored review.

At first visit to Stalking Minds, I already guessed that the author is a male because of it's simple and manly template. I was right. It's very easy to know the background of this author because he gave the basic introduction about himself on the "Who am I?" page. It makes me reminded to start making an "About Me' page.

The author is Vladimyr, working in an industrial security provider in Makati, Philipines and a father to Klashnicov and Gezshaio (their names sounds Russian or Germans to me). He's an introvert person (just like how I described myself on my profile)who feels comfortable only to close friends and family. He's an individual who was just trying to prove his worth on this planet, taking life as a challege. He loves to stalk the minds of people that surrounds him hence he started this blog (the third blog) to share his thoughts about things that he finds interesting on May 2008.

His interesting posts includes PSP, Firefoxfox 3 browser, movie reviews, how to install Uzzap on Nokia 5130 and a lot more! I think the target audience for this blog site are youth who has interest on gadgets and electronics. But wait, while browsing his archives, I've seen more personal posts about his wife pregnancy updates (I met only few male bloggers who blog like this), his wife's miscarriage and how they cope with their loss, and welcoming a new baby after the loss. He's also passionate about writing about his eldest whereabouts.

A visit to Stalking Minds is worthwhile. He writes simply but concise. Sentences have no unnecessary words and no unnecessary sentences on paragraphs. It's one of the blogs that values quality rather than quantity.

Remembering God's Unfailing Love

Psalms 90:14
Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,
that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

His Unfailing Love is a blog site filled with testimonies of God's amazing love, the significant difference of one's life with a relationship with God and victories won in the name of Jesus. It also journals all the author's activities, thoughts, inspiration, ideas, and everything that happened around her.

I personally know the author because we're living in the same city here in Thailand and she and her hubby are one of the wedding sponsors we've invited. She's a doting mother of two and a loving wife to her hubby. She's teaching English, loves cooking, singing and making jewelries. She's also homeschooling her children.

Lately, she just lost her baby but assuaged her grief by her strong belief on God's perfect plan for her life. I'm blessed and encouraged with her personal relationship with our Lord and savior. Last year, they went home to Philippines abruptly because her niece died. You'll be blessed of how God provided everything they need for the airfare in just a nick of time. Truly the love of the Father never fails!

Look around His Unfailing Love and I'm sure you'll witness what a powerful God we have . Her site helps us remember that God's love never fails.

NOOB- a site for novice bloggers

I used to hear from a friend that she's a total NOOB- a slang term for a newcomer to an Internet activity, for example online gaming. It can also be used to indicate an individual inexperienced in any other activities like blogging. My Marce Pehpot is so creative enough to start a blog focusing on tips and techniques on blogging and online earnings. It's NOOB which stands for NOvice On Blogging . It's one of her 8 blogs that she maintained!

May you be a newcomer in a blogging world or been here for quite some time but didn't yet know the how's and tricks on blogging and monetizing your blogs, then NOOB is there to guide you! It's just recently that I knew that there's a word count tool online where you could just submit your article and the site will automatically count the words for you. I did it while doing reviews for Kaye and Pehpot's Blogversary Contest because in wrting reviews it's a requirement to have at least 200 words. It's also useful for me when I do some paid posts and there are number of words required. This site is already bookmarked and thanks to NOOB.

I'm not really good in making blog reviews but upon reading the author's post about "How To Write a Blog Review", it boost my confidence in writing reviews and even get the hang of it...LOL! Actually, this is my 12th blog review I've made for a couple of days after reading the post! Again, thanks to NOOB. Reading that article makes me believe that in writing that she's also picturing herself performing each step. That makes her an effective writer in giving out instructions on "How-To's".

Visit the site and you'll surely learn a lot from scheduling posts to how to create a disclosure policy, from blogger platform vs wordpress platform to adgitize made easy tool and almost all the basic tips and tricks of blogging and monetizing your blogs. The author's articles are all harvested from her own experience for information. It can't be denied that she's familiar with the topics she have written. And the facts that she know about her topics may go beyond an encyclopedia’s breadth of coverage. I like the way she uses simple words that any person would understand. We can't assume all the readers knows anything about the topic, right? This way, she didn't leave out any important steps.

As always, the author managed to make her her 8 blog sites look presentable and beautiful including NOOB. The theme really fits in to the concept of her site, and speaks about the content of her site. Every design or details go along with her blog's concept making us readers not to be confused with her blog. The header and footer is designed by the author herself. Maybe next time, it would be wonderful if she could posts some tutorial on how to make headers. That would really make my day!

Any questions about blogging and earning online? Visit NOOB and let her help you.

Camerasexy Shots

I have something to reveal to you...

Photo blogs are a secret passion of mine (now it isn't a secret). Every now and then I spend hours clicking through impressions of someone else’s life. Have you noticed that browsing photos is a way to relax and get a glimpse into different worlds? That's what I felt. It seems like having a free vacation for the mind.

That's why Geb's Photo Lane was born but I didn't make it public. In fact, it was held in abeyance since January. I started this photoblog because it helps me preserve our memories here in Thailand and share our life through photographs but then I'm not motivated to update it anymore because I don't have the right equipment like the DLSR. Another thing is I haven't find the layout that suits my taste and personality .

On the other hand, I found an interesting photoblog even that even title alone you'll find it appealing and kinda unique- Camerasexy. The author is Marce Pehpot which I fondly call "the wonder mom of the new generation".This is one of her 8 blogs which she desire to update even twice a week. I think her hands are full these days coz if you'll visit Camerasexy today, the last post was dated December 25, 2009 and the pages on the dashboard aren't yet revised except the "Contact" page.

I like her very simple theme with a rich black background and few distractions (widgets are found on the footer). With the black background, it helps the photos to stand out. I like that it only show only one post per page. The other photoblogs that I visited had the title of their photos appear below both the photo AND the photo's description, so if they tend to ramble on when describing their photos, their photo's main caption may be hard for readers to locate. Camerasexy isn't like that. Post title appears above the pictures, it's not hard for readers to locate. How I wish the page element "archives" will be added to this photoblog for easier access to older posts. Any comment about the header? I couldn't say anything except "it's truly camera sexy!"

The photographer is a stay-at-home turned work-at-home mom of four and lives in Philippines. Her kids, food , her place and surroundings are the subject of most of her photographs, but she also shares the views from Typhoon Ondoy's devastation scene. The author/photographer isn't yet professional but she already had idea of all the beautiful things that are out there. Viewing her photo shots makes me conclude that there is so much to discover on something as simple as a walk around your own neighborhood – every single day. And the pictures reveal skill- the skill in spotting and catching these wonderful moments.

WAHMaholic indeed!

Nope, not me. That "-ic" suffix hasn't yet find any compatible words to describe any manifestation of addiction that pertains ME...LOL! WAHMaholic is Mommy Kaye who's addicted to being a Work At Home Mom.

The site's layout which she personally designed is simple yet it still manages to keep an attractive look- big header showing a woman in front of her computer comfortably working in her own home with that memory foam slipper hanging loosely. The ambiance resembles Baguio City ( the nature and the couple figure sitting on a bench outside her window makes me think of Baguio - the capital destination for honeymooners...he..he..this is according to my own version) and a glance on it makes me exclaim "This is sooo Kaye!" That's the beauty of having knowledge on web designing , you could bring out the best in your blog's features. I like the pale pink color of the layout's skin , it makes the site so feminine, so neat and clean (OC people will surely love it!) and so cool to the eyes. I could stay hours in front of the computer just gazing on her layout and reading posts because the font that she used (I'm not sure if its Helvetica font)is very readable and stage a clean presence. The layout has 2 columns, manageable advertisers' spaces and chitchat box for the visitors on the sidebar . At the footer ,you could navigate the site's archives , contact the author and click on the adgitize banners (it's important for adgitizers like me:)).

What's in her posts? She journals about her work- money-making online opportunities, blog designs, tips and tricks on wordpress plugins or about GIMP, blog reviews, sponsored reviews , family and friends and anything worth talking about.

Any plan to be a WAHM in the future? Let WAHMaholic show you the way, ladies.
