One of the good things of having a music buff brother is to be updated of what's going on in the music industry. Every time my brother posted music videos in his FB account, I won't let it pass without viewing because I knew that it's one of his favorite or good finds. Last night, he posted a video about 10-year-old Maria Aragon doing a piano-based cover of "Born this way- Lady Gaga's newest single that she first performed last February 13 during the 53rd Annual Grammy Award. The cover of the song has gone viral- today it gets 8,616,900 views since her performance was posted last February 16 and it's still counting!

What do you think of the lyrics to Lady Gaga's "Born This Way"? I like the point where she emphasized that God makes no mistakes in creating us! That's quite an acknowlegement of the Creator but I'm not comfortable about the issue of being gay, bi, lesbian, transgendered and having different lover. They're totally a contradiction to my belief . It's up to you how you decipher the message of the song.
On the other hand, Lady Gaga shocked this Fi-lCanadian Maria when she talked to her on phone during the latter’s interview on Winnipeg radio station Hot 103 last Feb. 18.Upon learning that Maria will be flown to Toronto (by Virgin Radio) in March to watch her show there, she personally invited her “Oh maybe you're just gonna have to come onstage with me and sing that song. What do you think?” . If you're Maria, what would you say? Maria accepted the offer with so much joy and tears while say that it would be really COOL!
How did Lady Gaga knew about Maria? During Maria's interview she only knew that Perez Hilton, a celebrity blogger, tweeted Lady Gaga about her performance and on Feb.17 after Lady Gaga watched the video, she then re-Tweeted the video to her followers (over 8 million followers!) early Thursday, writing, "Can't stop crying watching this. This is why I make music. She is the future." along with the link of her performance, thus catapulting Maria into instant stardom.

I'm not really a great fan of Lady Gaga (maybe because of her weird fashion taste-often out of this world outfits) but I do appreciate her talent both in writing songs and performance . This video was my first time hearing Lady Gaga's plainly talking and I think that she's a sweet girl.
