The Facebook Timeline is coming, and are you concerned?

I'm not always on Facebook because I'm disciplining myself since I noticed that once I open Facebook I can't stop reading comments upon comments and walls of someone whom I never met but seemed to be my friend in Facebook. In other words, I've learned to stalk strangers involuntarily..Waaaahhhh!  My time is so precious that I couldn't let Facebook eat my time . It's one of the reason why I'm not active in social networking nowadays.

The newest news I read from Facebook is that the Facebook Timeline would become mandatory. The new Facebook Timeline is not the most popular feature that Facebook has ever introduced. Majority of the users seemed annoyed of the crowded layouts and superfluous issues. For many users, it's a real issue of privacy. The new timeline will allow people to dig up your past if they so choose.

Some users are already exploring the new profile look. But since it was still voluntary, I just ignored it and enjoyed my normal, everyday Facebooking. But now that Facebook  announced the switch to Timeline was imminent, are you concerned? Let me know what you think.

A friend of mine posted on her wall how we can keep our privacy once the Timeline rolls out to everyone. Read on and share this one also on your Facebook wall:

Hi, Friends/Family. As you probably know, I like to keep my FB private except to those I am friends with. So if you all would do the following, I'd appreciate it. With the new FB timeline on its way this week for EVERYONE. . . please do both of us a favor:

Hover over my name above. In a few seconds you'll see a box that says "Subscribed". Hover over that, then go to "Comments and Likes" and unclick it.

That will stop all our posts showing up on the side bar for strangers to see. But most important, it limits hackers from invading our profiles. If you repost this I will do the same for you. You'll know I've acknowledged you, because if you tell me that you've done it, I'll "like" it

The Facebook TimeLine is coming,I am not concerned for that. Thanks for sharing this one.

The only thing I fancy about this timeline thing is the personalized huge header. The rest is i-still-can't-get-used-to. The pageloading is a bummer.
