Our Beighty Aivee

This is my younger sister, Beighty Aivee. She's the eight in the family thus the name B eight ty. She's the smallest and the shortest in the family though she'll be 18 this coming June. If other girls with her age are busy planning for their grand 18th birthday celebration and searching everywhere for great 18th birthday ideas, she had only one wish-my mom could accompany her to an earring shop to have her ears pierced and that she could choose the earrings of her choice.

As of now, I'm already planning of what would be my gift for her. I wish her the best as she soon ventures the world of adulthood. She loves to be a tour guide. My prayer is with her all the time. I know that God will moves His hands to do the things for this sis of mine which I can't do.

Multicab Accident experience

This multicab accident happened last April 19, 2011 around 11 am. Hyzyd, my 2-year-old son, my 11-year-old sister and me were in that multicab headed to Surigao Bus terminal. While passing one of the city's intersection, a van suddenly rammed us ! Thank God that the impact of the collision isn't that strong. Though most of us  we're fallen off from the vehicle's bench seats, no one got hurt seriously.  I got knee bruises, others bumped their head on the vehicles hand bars but no one got injured or wounded. Thank God that when that accident happen I was holding Hyzyd who sat on my lap and my other hand was grasping the handle bar.

It was learned that the van who hit us lost its break.

We got out of that vehicle with shaky knees but I whispered a sincere thank you to God for sparing our lives. What if worst has happened? Would there be personal injury lawyer that works like the personal injury attorney tucson  who provides hands-on legal help for accident victims and their families?

Thank God that on that day we arrived safe and sound.

Blessed and Blissful Vacation in the Philippines

Our vacation to Philippines just slipped so fast that I wasn't able to eat all the delicacies I craved for nor visit all my dear friends. What's important is that I spent most of my time with my immediate families. This vacay is already God's best gift for me for my birthday!

I have so much to thank God during our stay in Philippines. Let me count the ways:

1. Meeting the marces. The easiest way for us to visit my hometown is to book a flight from Hatyai City-Bangkok, then from Bangkok to Butuan City. But we chose the different route: Hatyai City to Kula Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur to Clark field, ride a bus for four hours going to Manila, stay in a hotel for a night before taking another flight in NAIA for Butuan City. Why? It's the only way I could meet few of my marces! I'm glad that I met Marce Chris, Marce K and Marce Fedhz. Their pretty smiling faces are enough to ease my tiredness. They're beautiful persons both inside and out. Meeting them, talking to them and hugging them keep our friendship stronger. Though Marce Peh couldn't make it for family affairs, but her call is already enough to make me feel welcome in her circles of friends. Hope to see Marce Yami next time. Thanks for your text. I hoped that my text to Marce Mye reached her. Hope to see you too next time.

I wonder when could I meet Marce Jade, Marce Kikamz , Marce Niko, Marce Liz and Marce Seiko?

Thank you marces for your pasalubong!

It's a blessing meeting Marce Chris. I met lots of mommies through her hosted meme, Mommy Moments.

I'm truly fortunate to have pretty and talented marces like Marce K (left) who's a freelance writer and blog designer. She surprised me with a new chic blog design of Her and History on my birthday! I super love my new blog layout! Thank you so much Marce K. The other marce is Marce Fedhz. You'll not be bored with her company. She always has interesting things to talk about . She's simply lovable! She's not only an SEO expert. She's the pretty face behind the perfected polvoron, the Fedhz Polvoron!

2. Family Reunion. After 5 years, it's only this year that all of my siblings (14 of us) got together. My family were able to visit Philippines after 3 years since we got married and came here in Thailand. It was Hyzyd's first visit to Philippines. My bro who's next to me and also worked here in Thailand finally made it after 4 years. My bro with his fiancee were able to take a leave from their demanding works as book designer and online ESL teacher from Cebu. The other one who works in a mining company in Semirara Island, Antique, Mindoro was finally allowed to take a vacation after working in that company for over a year. It's truly a happy reunion with our grandparents (father's side)!

This reunion helps us foster family relationships- forgiving one another and settling unresolved issues, increases family interaction, build family unity, make family connections, and create family memories.
We're able to attend my grandma's 72nd birthday and got the chance to meet my cousins, uncles and aunts.
Can you believe that after 3 years of being married, it's only this time that I got the chance to stay and know more about my parent-in-laws? I tell you, they're the best!

 3. Celebrated my 30th birthday. Our flight back here in Thailand was scheduled on April 25 and it's my 30th birthday. I don't have a grand celebration but it's a great birthday spent in several occasions with lechon (roasted pig)!

  • April 15: during our family gathering in the house

crispy, sumptuous, juicy tender native lechon pork

  • April 17: Thanksgiving and my birthday celebration hosted by my parents-in-law

As I turn 30, I thank God that He let me experience miracles as I get out of my comfort zone. He let me understand that success is knowing and doing God's will for my life.

Extra Ways to Earn Money

Being employed is not the only way to earn money. In fact there are a lot of ways to earn extra income. If you do not have the money to invest on franchise opportunities, there are easy ways to earn extra money without the need for big investment. Earn extra money by:
  • Selling the things that you no longer need or use. You can set up yard sale or put up a website selling your pre-loved items.
  • A lot of people spend time online so why not get paid for the time you spend online. There are a lot of companies which pay people for doing researches or even sending out emails.
  • Tutor some students or kids; if you are an English expert, there are a lot of students who are studying ESL. Earn money by helping them out and sharing your knowledge.

Playground School Equipment Safety

School administrators should make sure that all playground school equipment are safe for children’s use. The equipment should be well-maintained and clean at all times. In doing so, maintenance and inspection is required to be done regularly.
  • All metal equipment should be free from rust.
  • The wooden equipment must not have any crack and should be free from splinters.
  • The playground equipment of the school must be made of sturdy materials. It should not be easily torn apart or be worn out with changes in weather.
  • The surface of the playground must be well-maintained to avoid tripping of kids when running around.

Where's the BabyBond Couture Nursing Sash?

I got the privilege of making a review for the BabyBond Couture Nursing Sash and I was thrilled to have it as one of the baby gifts I planned to give to my sis-in-law who gave birth last January. This will be a perfect gift for her. She could wear it like a sash to function as a nursing top. Whenever she'll be in public places she could breastfeed her baby without feeling conscious of her surroundings- no one will be tempted to stare at her exposed breast. With BabyBond Couture Nursing Sash, she could nurse even when she's wearing neck high shirts! Using this sash covers her breast but will not cover the baby so the mom could maintain eye contact with the baby while breastfeeding. It's indeed a perfect accessory for nursing and conversing. Unfortunately, I haven't received it yet though it was shipped to me last December 2010. Hope it will arrived soon. It's not yet too late for my sis-in-law to use it.

Cash wise

Though my school allowed us employees to avail cash advances, I refrain from doing so because I don't want that our budget for next month to suffer. It's a good thing that a brother of mine let me borrow but we borrow only the least necessary amount for our travel back to Thailand. In doing so, we avoided interest rate fees. With the help of my hubby, we're able to formulate a budget to handle unfortunate circumstances. and employed a financial strategy that will help us gradually repay the amount we borrowed. We also rearranged our budget to include an emergency fund.

What a flight we had!

God is so good! We arrived in Philippines safe and sound amidst the financial crisis we met along the way! The last time I fly with Airasia was year 2006 and I haven't remembered that we've got to pay for baggage because all I could remember is that the passengers are allowed to bring 15 kgs. It was late for me to know that t's not the case anymore!Yes, all passengers are allowed to bring a maximum of 15 kg of load but we need to pay for it for about 590 baht. Beyond that, it's already an excess baggage and a fee of 590 per kilogram will be collected. Checking in your baggage online is beneficial because you'll enjoy about 30% discount . My bad, I didn't know about this . I'm  just shocked when we're asked to pay for the baggage when we checked in. I'm ready to pay for the excess baggage but not the amount of all 45 kilograms! How I wish I've availed the personal loan offered to me which I declined because of my goal to be debt-free this year. It could be a great help but anyway I'm just glad that we arrived home . Another thing, our flight to Butuan City was canceled due to low pressure so we rebooked via Cagayan de Oro City which is 5 hours away from Butuan City. Imagine the time of waiting we have to endure, the unexpected expenditures along the way which is beyond our budget and the tiredness we felt! But now, those things don't matter anymore because we're once again back to the loving arms of our family!

We don't have internet connection at home so please bear with me if I couldn't get right back to you. Hope to see you again next time.
