New blogs in the block

This month I bought 3 domains and have ventured the wordpress platform which means I will need a reliable webhosting site for my blogs. Thanks to my friend, Ate Lalaine of Lalaine's World she referred to me to an affordable and reliable blog hosting company- Mom's Hosting owned by Mom Rubz of Pinay Mommy Online . With her help I was able to set up my 3 new domains:

1. Away from Home - journal about my life as expatriate living in the Land of Smiles
2. Tasty Exploration- notes of my humble attempts to cook for my family , discovery of new cuisine especially Thai dishes and foods that make us healthy
3. Genefaith's Home- my own experiences on what it is to have your own home

These blogs needed some lovin' visits and exchange links from you guyz. Thank you for your support.

Back to school

I can't stop the days to come and go and whether I like it or not, I'll be back to school next week ! No more lazing around, no more watching movies until 12 midnight,lesser time with my baby and more time on preparing visual aids.

I'm not sure about my blogging schedule. I couldn't stay late at night. I couldn't afford looking like a zombie in front of my learners because of lack of sleep. I don't have any option but to wake up earlier like 3:00 AM to spend time with God, exercise, blog, prepare for school. We need to be at school before 7:50 am. It would be an adjustment for Hyzyd, too. He usually wakes up at 9:00 AM but next week, I need to carry him before 7:00 am to drop him to his nanny (his former nanny went home (to Philippines) already). If I'm free in the afternoon after class (which means I don't have visual aids to prepare or worksheets to check), I could blog from 4:00-5:00 pm while waiting for hubby to fetch me up. By 5:15-5:30 we'll pick up Hyzyd then together we'll head home.

I'll put Hyzyd to sleep before 9:00 PM and for sure I'll go to sleep,too except if I have writing tasks (which seldom happens) that needs to be done. Inspired by Marce Peh, maybe I'll also make a schedule on what blog I need to attend first in each day considering that I've bought 3 domains this summer.

Most of the Marce Club members were born on April - Marce Liz, yours truly, and today Marce Kikamz and Marce Yami!

Happy Birthday Marce Yami. My earnest prayer for you on your birthday is that may the love of God be with you all day through with his endless and boundless grace. May He richly bless your life with much happiness and success.

May we see each other someday.

On my 29th birthday

I received a call last Friday, April 23 around 3:00 pm. The caller asked for my address. I'm hesitant to give my address to a complete stranger so I asked her on what's the reason behind asking for my address. She then explain that she's from S&P Bakery and she needs to send me "my" cake. I was baffled because I didn't order any cake . When I want something from S&P bakery, I just walk over there and grab what I want. That's how close I am to this bakery. "Oh, yeah...I remember that it's my birthday on Sunday and maybe somebody wanted to surprise me!"...I then gave her my address and she asked me on what time I wanted "my" cake be delivered. I told her around 3:00 pm.

Wow, I thought that my Thai friend whom I'm helping for her thesis is behind the surprise cake ...maybe it's her way of saying "thank you" for helping her. So on April 25, when my friends told me to visit me in the afternoon , I'm confident that they'll not go hungry with the cake and a pitcher of ice tea or a cup of tea, I suppose.

I'm used of celebrating my birthday in a very simple way especially that we're in tight financial situation because we don't have salary on the month of April. What made it special this time is my friend brought some food to our house so I'm kinda forced to celebrate it with them. Thanks to hubby , when he realized that we'll be expecting visitors he grabbed some pizza and other stuff from Pizza Company.

Three o'clock came, 4 o'clock, 5 o'clock...the "CAKE" didn't arrived. I'm wondering why so I called the number that called me last Friday . And you know what, no one could speak English to me! I was trying to explain to them in my crooked Thai that I'm calling the same number who called me last Friday about the 'cake" that will suppose to be delivered at 3:00 pm. I just hang up when I realized it's worthless to talk to them. Oh, Thailand!

The celebration of my birthday is push through without the "mysterious cake". I hope my friends were full when they left the house.

Around 6:40 pm, the "mysterious cake" arrived! From where? From the Marce Club! I couldn't believe it! How are they able to order online for me? If you checked S&P Bakery's website, it's on Thai (but you're able to translate the page). It doesn't stop Marce Pehpot to order a very yummy and pretty rose cake for me.

Thank you so much Marces: Pehpot, Niko, Seiko, Yami, Liz, Jade, Kaye, Fehdz, Chris, Kikamz and Mye for your warm messages and for the CAKE. You made me so HAPPY, so LOVED and so CARED for!

I'm sooo excited with my cake that I forget to comb my hair.

I’ve come to know Marce Gene from Mommy Moments where both of us are participants. Gene is based in Thailand with her husband and child Hyzyd. This young mom is one of the first few bloggers who followed my original site when I was a newbie. She is a regular visitor and commenter and I really appreciate her for that. Now that she has her hands full with her teaching job and wifely duties, she still drops me a line or two to say hi.

Gene became my kumare (Marce) through our godchild Sati, the adorable daughter of Marce Pehpot.

She is celebrating her birthday today and I wish her all the good things in life. I wish to know more about you and see you personally in the near future.

Sis Bambie and I clicked when we know that our babies are almost the same age. I'm drawn to her passion on motherhood and she helped me open my eyes to see that it's not impossible to be FAB even after you became a mother. Here's her fab banner and message she made for me:

I Love Mother Earth

I love mother Earth, do you? Mom Jacris of Mom's Special diary calls every responsible bloggers to give our timely response to this alarming state of the only planet we live in, by doing our own share of protecting her with doing simple things that will surely stir big difference.

My simple way of showing my love to Mother Earth is by conserving energy - being vigilant on turning off unneeded lights or when leaving a room, using only as much light as we need, and unplugging appliances when not in use-remembering to turn off television and computer when we're not using them.

Turning off the water when we're not using it is also part of conserving energy.While brushing our teeth, shampooing our toddler or washing our dishes, we see to it that we turn off the water until we actually need it for rinsing. We reduced our water bill in this way and helps conserve a vital resource.

How does conserving energy save Mother Earth? Less energy use means less dependence on the fossil fuels that create greenhouse gases and contribute to global warming.
